New configuration: AMD K6-III-400 or K6-2-333, Adaptec 2940U SCSI, same video, same network, no EISA bus. When booting the system reports a kernel address fault just as the license stuff is about to appear, so this is the time when the system changes to protected mode and its drivers etc. I preinstalled the "adsl"

Channel horrors! (Adaptec 2940U/UW)
From what I here the SCSI CDROM is just found by the SCSI driver and you don't have to do anything except make sure it's assigned an unused SCSI id. Mainboard is I430LX (Ver 6ALX2) Is that benchmark/tester unable to read such speed, or is Cheetah no big deal with only an Ultra controller card (Adaptec 2940U)?

Horrible Benchmarks
I'm running 2.0.29 on a machine with an aha2940UW. A hard drive(wide), CDROM, and the zipdrive (internal) are on this card. I am also having a problem with an AHA-2940U and an external syjet. The scsi driver claims to have set a 10Mb transfer rate even though the syjet won't go that fast. Is there a patch for this?
